TRAX Rubber

TRAX Rubber is a proprietary rubber brand developed by Evolv to give the best friction, performance, and durability on both rock and plastic. Yosemite Bum Resoles is the only resoling business that offers TRAX Rubber because of our long-standing relationship with Evolv.

TRAX SAS

TRAX SAS is a perfect balance between stickiness and durability. This rubber provides high friction not only on plastic holds, but also on your outdoor projects. TRAX SAS’s superior friction is used by Evolv athletes such as Daniels Woods and Colin Duffy, to send the some of the hardest known boulders and take home World Cup Gold Medals at climbing’s most elite level. Trax SAS is available in 4 MM and 3.5 MM.

VIBRAM

Vibram has been a staple rubber for climbing shoes for decades. It can be found on climbing shoes made by La Sportiva, Tenaya and Scarpa. Yosemite Bum Resoles offers Vibram for an additional $10 per pair.

Vibram XS GRIP2

This rubber can be found on popular models such as the La Sportiva Solution and the Scarpa Veloce. It is a soft yet durable compound that is best for smearing and sensitivity on the wall. Soft rubber such as XS Grip2 is preferrable for bouldering and sport climbing.

VIBRAM XS EDGE

This stiff edging rubber is found specifically on popular models such as the La Sportiva TC Pro, Katana, and Miura. XS Edge’s durability makes this rubber well suited for edging on small holds that you might find on certain rock faces. Due to its density and stiffness, it will last longer than XS Grip2.
